Is there a website which summarises latest up to date information/ requirements???

My kids haven't been vaccinated yet...

Try the site called Schengen visa (sth like that)
Alternatively, I follow a couple of really useful FB pages, one is called Covid 19 travel, and the other holiday something. I'll find the link.

I find the lack of coverage of this quite surprising. Read a whole article yesterday about this year's top ski destinations hoping for some useful information as the parent of a 13 year old, but nothing...

There are lots of threads on here. The problem really is the UK is almost the only country in Europe not fully vaccinating teens. Plus each country has its own regulations and requirements anyway.

MsFogi · 23/10/2021 19:02

It is infuriating - 12-17 year olds are in a no-man's land, offered one vaccine but that doesn't help them when it comes to travel. And the government is wondering why the uptake is so low in this age group - if they offered the double dose I suspect a lot more 12-17 year olds would be queueing up.

It depends on the country tbh. Where are you wanting to go and how old are your dc?

Cloudbaser · 23/10/2021 20:31

One vaccine makes no difference. It is tricky travelling with teenagers atm.

Not just country entry requirements but also understanding what they can do when they are there without recent antigen test evidence.

MarshaBradyo · 23/10/2021 20:33

Does anyone know if it helps to have a recent positive PCR test, for any countries

WhatsitWiggle · 23/10/2021 20:41

apply.joinsherpa.com/map?originCountry=BRA

Use this tool - change passport and country of origin, unvaccinated and then adjust the filters to remove returning citizens and mandatory quarantine and you'll be left with the countries you can access just with a negative Covid test.

Bramshott · 03/11/2021 10:39

I tried using the Joinsherpa site, but unfortunately it doesn't distinguish between an unvaccinated adult and an unvaccinated (or partially vaccinated) under-18, and the rules are often different.

Took unvaccinated 13yr old to Spain at half term - negative PCR test 48hrs before we went and lateral flow test when we got home (this one also applied to us fully vaccinated). We'd already googled requirements but Ryanair had loads of links for different countries.

British Airways has info for all the countries they fly to:

www.britishairways.com/en-gb/information/incident/coronavirus/entry-requirements

Spain seems to be okay for teens, requiring only a negative PCR within 48 hours of arrival if not fully vaccinated.
