Any restrictions in Tenerife?

I'm going on holiday to Tenerife on the 2nd November🤞and am unclear if there are any Covid restrictions out there at present. Just wondered if there were mask requirements or any kind of limits on capacity in bars and restaurants? Thanks

We've just got back from Tenerife. Yes, mask wearing indoors at all times, unless eating/drinking in restaurants.

At the hotel we could take masks off when on a lounger by the pool but you have to wear a mask to walk around the hotel.

They're much better with mask wearing over there than we are here.

Lots of places had reduced capacity - like Siam park, so you have to book ahead. I'd recommend booking anything you want to do ahead of time.

It was still lovely, just masks indoors and tables in bars and restaurants distanced.

@ChubbyK thanks for the information. To be honest I'm just so glad to be getting away! More than happy to comply with any regulations

Have a lovely time! We went recently too, masks on but otherwise totally fine.

Where on the island are you going? It was 26-29 degrees when we were there.

Twigletgirl27 · 21/10/2021 18:38

@AspCommie we're going to Costa Adeje to an adults only hotel, bliss! Weather looks great at present too, looking forward to sunshine, relaxing, good food and drink 🍹!

Hi, we're just back, it's very similar to Scotland so masks on when inside, but very little other changes - other than our aparthotel having cancelled their shuttle bus to the beach, all entertainment and cleaning.
Most pointless was the requirement to wear masks outdoors at Siam Park water park. Particularly as the masks got sopping wet after any ride.

This is good to read as we're there on Sunday. Exhausted filling in the forms to go though - just hope I've done them right!

rookiemere · 23/10/2021 08:34

@NCTDN the forms are a faff, but for us at Tenerife airport all they checked were our QR codes - I printed these out to make them easier to access, and then the vaccine letters were checked at the hotel. I kept the covid stuff in a separate envelope.

For going back our paperwork was checked at Tenerife airport and not subsequently. I'd leave a bit more time at the airport than normal as it did seem to cause some queues. Sadly the Sushi place and Burger King are both closed in departures so you have your choice of three baguette places .

But the in between bit was fabulous! Best weather we've ever had.

NCTDN · 23/10/2021 08:39

@rookiemere the Spanish entry qrcodes? I'm paranoid I've not got everything...

rookiemere · 23/10/2021 08:44

You get them emailed to you once you've filled in the Spanish locator form.

NCTDN · 23/10/2021 08:59

Yes I've got those plus the vaccine records and negative test certificate. Do I need anything else?

NCTDN · 23/10/2021 14:02

@rookiemere how warm was it at night? Do I need jumpers?

rookiemere · 23/10/2021 14:35

@NCTDN if it remains as warm as it was then no jumpers needed. I brought a light denim jacket and a grey hoodie but didn't wear them except on the plane.

Thanks for the help everyone. I'm going to order our day 2 tests this weekend. I'm on a helpful Facebook page which gives advice re tests and completing all forms. Remember the day when you just needed luggage and a passport!!

Ooh @Twigletgirl27 which Facebook page?
Thanks rookie

Twigletgirl27 · 23/10/2021 16:14

@NCTDN it's called Covid 19 Travel Test Help and Advice. They have a file with instructions on how to complete forms for going out and returning, which I am going to study hard!
