Mallorca hotel recommendations

We are going to Mallorca next summer for a wedding and would like to make a holiday of it.
Looking for 4/5*, B&B or SC (definitely not AI), kids club and kids pool (2 primary aged DC). Important to be in a nice (not like Magaluf!) resort with good restaurants and beach within walking distance.
Does anyone have any recommendations? There seem to be millions on the internet but not always obvious whether they are in a good location or a bit out of a town where we'd have to drive everywhere.

What do you want to be near to? Will you have transport or need bus links? Alcudia is meant to be nice and has a water park i think, but it's the other side of the island to say palma, and other tourist attractions. I like santa ponsa and paguera, not too far from palma and the airport, not rowdy like magaluf, especially if you stay the quiet side of santa ponsa.
