Holiday rentals in france

We are looking to book france for august 2022 & usually stay on a chalet in a holiday park which we are happy to do again but there’s 8 of us going so considering a private villa/gite. Any tips on the best websites to look at?

We do this a lot, although a bigger group. I'd always start with Vrbo, also Air BNB. There should be something you like, but if you're still struggling to find something, there's Gites de France, or just googling holiday rentals in the area you're interested in.
