Canal Boat Light Parade ? 9th December
Birmingham City Centre Canals, Mailbox to NIA

Birmingham city centre canals will once again be illuminated by the spectacular light show from the canal boat light parade taking place on Sunday 9th December. 20 beautifully lit boats will compete for the title of 'Best Dressed Boat in a bid to win prize money. The route stretches from the Mailbox to the National Indoor Arena in central Birmingham and at the end of the parade there will be a dazzling fireworks finale to brighten up the winter sky.

10.00 am and 4.00pm. Admission is £5.50 per child and the event is free for adults. Pre booking is essential with a £1 discount on all tickets booked on or before Saturday 8th December 2007.

Winter at How Hill - 16 December 2007
Ludham, Great Yarmouth,

Experience the magic of the How Hill marshes in winter and explore the narrow marsh dykes with a boat trip on our silent electric boat, the Electric Eel, and take a short walk to the bird hide overlooking Reedham Water. Take a guided tour of the wildlife trail to look for animals and birds trying to survive the cold weather.
Warm up afterwards in Toad Hole cottage with a glass of mulled Norfolk cider or fruit juice and a mince pie.
