Family holiday to Switzerland

We’re a family of 4 and we’re looking at taking a 2 week holiday to Switzerland and possibly France next year.

This is where we have different views. My wife would like to do a full motorhome experience, setting off from England and driving all the way. I don’t know if I could handle a full 2 weeks with a 6 & 4 year old fighting in such cramped conditions lol. My person preference is to fly over the Switzerland and possibly hiring a vehicle while stopping off at different camp/lodge sites ever 3 days or so.

Anyone had similar experiences and/or what would you recommend?

It sounds bonkers to me.

I’ve never tried it but a friend’s DH likes driving to their skiing holidays with DC of similar ages. She refuses to do it any more.

Just to warn you, Switzerland is very very expensive. It's beautiful but you need a good budget
