Cotswolds/Oxford staycation

Looking to book 3/4 day staycation in November for a well deserved break away from the kids with DH.
I've never set foot anywhere near this part of the country so I am looking for recommendations.
Will be driving from London and will probably stop at Bicester Village on the way home.
So tell me all of your lovely recommendations of hotels/restaurants/cafes/shops/walks

Stow on the wold, Bourton on Water and Broadway are nice. Avoid Cheltenham. Boring..

Agree with Franklin on all fronts.

Would add Winchcombe & Sudeley Castle.

The Killingworth Castle is a cosy pub with rooms. It’s just down the road from Blenheim Palace and you can get discounted entry staying there. The food is amazing and it has lots of lovely walks nearby www.thekillingworthcastle.com/walks-and-rides

Go to Burford Garden center and wander around Burford.
Also head to Daylesford which
The Double Red Duke near Burford does great food.
Take a stroll around Bibury

King’s Head in Bledington and the Plough in neighbouring Kingham (both a nice country walk from Daylesford) are great pubs for food and a stay.

Second vote for Killingworth Castle. The food is fantastic.

Also highly recommend The Wheatsheaf in North Leach. Very nice, cosy pub with great food & open fires to sit beside - perfect for a November visit. We’ve stayed several times, both with & without the children. There’s a lovely circular walk out across the fields & through woodland. The pub has maps & will even provide you with a picnic.

Foxhill Manor is gorgeous but can be expensive - although it’s essentially an “all inclusive” & you have the freedom to request that the chef makes whatever your heart desires & whenever! It’s remarkably relaxed with most people padding around in slippers & finding a cosy spot to read, play board games etc. They also own The Fish Hotel which has shepherds huts/cabins by a small lake which could be fun for your DCs.

It’s lovely here.

The Fish is incredible but expensive.
We stayed at this AirBnB last year which was great - www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/10515795?adults=2&check_in=2020-10-24&check_out=2020-10-26&source_impression_id=p3_1632504221_p7%2BGQ8pSrZPWy3Ed&guests=1

Agree that a trip to Daylesford is a must.
