Flying and Covid

One of the main things putting me off going abroad anywhere at the moment is the risk of catching Covid on the plane either on the way out or way back (less bothered about that).

Anyone know how risky planes are?? The holiday we are looking to book is low risk (self catering, villa) but I keep thinking 'what if' we catch it on the plane and it ruins the holiday!!! I am double vaxxed but had Covid before vaccination and was really unwell, in hospital etc although not admitted. My DC was also really unwell with long Covid hence the fear! I am contemplating driving / getting the ferry but it's a long way and I'm not sure that's really any safer.

Anyone caught Covid on the plane or am I overthinking this?!

You are overthinking it.

If it's going to ruin the experience for you, I wouldn't go.
