Forgot to post day 2 PCR

Hi
I feel silly but forgot to
post day 2 PCR test back after arrival from Green list country last week.
Can't update info as test ref no now shows invalid.
Guess no point ordering another either as past day 2.
What happens , assume all test suppliers systems automated with personal details and will auto notify somewhere. Do you receive a fine ? Can't find anything online, it's driving me mad. What a stupid thing to forget especially since everything is logged and connected since we have to
to gazillion tests to travel.

nothing happens, I've been for about 7 weekends in the uk and had to buy the bloody things to get in even though I leave on day 1 so never do them.

In fact - this article is very telling

Its about the testing firms on the government's list refusing to refund customers under the distance selling regulations when the day 2 test never even showed up, the key quote being:

Boots refused to refund them, claiming that, according to its terms and conditions: “The service is deemed to have been provided in full by Boots and ReCoVa-19 by providing the customer with their booking reference number.

So basically the booking reference is what you pay for, even the testing companies don't see the product they are selling as the actual test itself.

Farce.

You’re fine, they don’t check.

Just like PP, I’ve been a few times and had to buy the reference code but sometimes didn’t get round to posting the test before I left the country again.

It’s a moneymaking system that makes absolutely no sense and no one actually controls it or makes sure it’s running properly.

Thanks so much for advice /input.
No other European country requires 2 tests to enter for fully vaccinated people 😤.
Was worried ( am no IT specialist excuse wrong terminology ) that now my " file "
remains open without day 2 result and triggers a subsequent action.
We all have to supply so much personal data, madness.
Was almost expecting a fixed penalty notice in post.

As others have said - you are simply paying for a code to put on your form to enter the country. No one is actually running the tests - the whole system stinks.
