Cyprus weather - October half term
Solicitor123 · 15/09/2021 11:56
We are due to go to Cyprus in the last week of October (23rd - 30th). Has anyone ever been at this time and, if so, what is the weather like?!

I went that week one year. The day times were lovely, definitely swimming pool weather. The evenings got dark very early but that wasn’t a problem as the hotel had an indoor restaurant and bar.

Generally it is very warm (high 20s) sunny and pleasant but you can sometimes be unlucky and have a rainy spell.

Where we stayed the pool was freezing- indoor pool a must!

Be aware that it gets dark very early as it is so far east.

My mum and dad went for the winter. They said it was glorious until Christmas day, then it was horrendous! October was just lovely

We’ve been as a family in Oct half term (6 years ago) and the weather was lovely. We were sunbathing and swimming everyday. I’ve also been early Nov and for New Year and weather was still good, not as warm at NY but still bright and sunny. Fingers crossed you get the same this year!

I live in Cyprus and October is a strange month! Usually the temperatures are 25-27c at the end of the month but last year it was still 30c. You can expect some dramatic thunderstorms though
Outdoor pools will be too cold to swim in but the sea is still warm though. The clocks go back on the 30th so you'll just miss that - it will get dark about 6pm. Once the sun drops the temperature changes very quickly so you'll need a cardi for the evening, it can get nippy even when it's been roasting during the day ❄️
