We're thinking about a holiday in this area in October half term- we don't live in the UK and can get a ferry to Marseille easily (which seems a more reliable option than flying at the moment). Kids are 5 and 7.
We're looking for somewhere in the countryside- ideal would be a farm stay with a lake or river for swimming nearby but not a hotel. We live by the sea so don't need or want a beach holiday, but somewhere the kids can roam around outside, maybe some farm animals. I like a couple of the more basic Yelloh sites but they're closed by the end of October.
Does anyone have any recommendations? I'd like to spend a day or two in Marseille as well for some city times (love a gritty port city!). But we don't know that area of France at all.
