Simla/Shimla - anyone recommend somewhere to stay

title says it all really!

there are 2 Oberoi hotels in Shimla - the Cecil (5)and the Wildflower Hall (3) which is about an hour from Shimla. www.oberoihotels.com
i've heard of 2 heritage hotels - one called Woodville Palace and the other called Springfields though don't have any experience of sending anyone here myself.
otherwise would advise just looking at a Lonely Planet to see what they recommend in the budget range.
