Hi, has anyone stayed in Soller?

I’m looking for a holiday with walking/sea swimming/restaurants/bike/paddleboard hire - not somewhere with lots of nightlife or noise.

If you know the area, am I on the right track? It’s for October.

You want to be staying in Port de Soller rather than Soller itself as it is 3kms inland.

There is a stand up paddleboard centre in Port de Soller.

Port de Soller would be perfect. Lovely safe bay for paddle boarding. Its beautiful

It's beautiful. Soller is also a lovely little town with lots of restaurants, and there's a little tram service that runs between the two. That's also a network of signposted walking trails, depending on how far you want to walk.

Yes agreed you want the Port too, beautiful little place, nightlife is focussed around the food places and little bars along the waterfront rather than anything livelier.

Soller itself is nice to visit too and you'd get a full day trip out of the wooden train back into Palma city too if you wanted, I guess it is still running in October?

I stayed in a hotel called the Aimia (i think, something like that) years ago which was very nice then, just up a side street.

Soller and Port Soller are wonderful places for a holiday! I can also recommend taking one of the boat tours to nearby restaurants around the coast. We've stayed several times in the Esplendido in Port Soller which was fab.

Thanks all- you’ve made my mind up! Smile

Both Soller and Port de Soller are gorgeous and perfect for the holiday you want. A tram runs between the two; Port de Soller is on the coast.

I'm not long back from Port de Soller, I loved it! I stayed at the Aimia like a PP and really liked it. Jump on a tram to Soller then the tourist train into Palma. I also got the bus to Deia (bus stop just up from the Aimia).

I also got a boat tour which was fab, took you into the caves and allowed time for a swim etc.

It's one of my favourite places. Smile

Just popping in to echo previous posters and say YES to Port de Soller Smile

We stayed recently at the Eden Nord, just up hill out of resort. 3* nothing fancy, but gorgeous public areas (slightly tired rooms, covid hit before they refurbed them) and surprisingly good food for the star rating. We got a great price in August.
