UK to Germany with a 12 and 9yo- there’s no pont going, is there?

DH booked us a four day city break to Berlin without properly checking the requirements… from what I can understand, the DC would have to isolate for at least 5 days, so no point going; have I got that right?

My reading of it is 12 year old is not allowed entry, if fully vaccinated you and 9 year old are but 5 days quarantine for child. Only solution can think of would be if could leave kids at grandparents and go yourselves.
