Testing Requirements for Greece

Okay, sorry for being a complete noob but I've got myself a little confused by the requirements.

Online it states that I need the following for travel to Greece;
a PCR undertaken within 72 hours of arrival
a rapid antigen from a lab within 48 hours before arriving.
Proof of being fully vaccinated.

I'm fully vaccinated. Does this mean that to get into Greece I don't need a fit to fly test, only the ones on day 2 and prior to departure? I read it wrong and have bought the damn kits which I am hoping I don't need as the turn around time anxiety is starting to kick in..

In Greece now. No tests on the way out, just proof of vaccination, I used the app. Coming back it is fit to fly and day 2.

Got back from Greece on Friday.

If you are double vaccinated you only need to show proof of vaccination from the NHS app to fly to Greece.

To get home you do a fit to fly rapid antigen test up to 72 hours before your flight home ( we flew Friday and did the tests on the Wednesday afternoon )

You then do a day 2 PCR test and that's it.

It's stressful but so worth it!

Thanks so much for confirming. I've been so anxious about what I need that I panicked and ordered one in haste because I was worried about bank holiday delivery delays. I genuinely don't care that I've lost £40 because the stress around getting a result in the time frame was sending me a bit crazy.

Hope you have a lovely holiday!

OP- just enjoy. I get it because I had to get DD tested to fly out as she is not vaccinated- also took several attempts to verify my vaccination status on the NHS app so do not leave it to the last minute! Airport was a breeze both ends and we both had a row each on the plane. As usual once you get through security you just relax. Have an amazing time.

Can you use the test you have bought for the return or day 2?

Thank you! We'll be alright once we get out there, and I'm glad to not be rushing round trying to get test results prior to a flight. It's our honeymoon so I think we'd be divorced before we even made it out there 😂 we've bought day 2 tests too, so I guess the only chance of being able to use them is prior to leaving Greece. I'm not sure if that would work or not to be honest!
