Chronomics- Delayed PCR test to fly out of UK

Does anyone have any experience using this company and not having a test returned in time to fly thereby having to cancel their holiday? Staff at the airport say it's quite common but I cannot find any reviews, feedback, reports of this.

Can't make any contact with the company, save for through their website- where you get a standard response. It's been a complete nightmare.

Hoe many hours did you do your test OP? Interested as I've booked my test through Chronomics too!

Trust pilot has thousands of similar comments.

I know this is of no help to you now but I recommend going to a test centre which carries out and processes the test on site in the same day. Randox do this at various U.K. airports. Cost us £70 per test and results back within three hours.

We booked our tests with Chronimics through TUi. The pre flight and return to UK swabs were finally delivered at 8.30am on the morning we flew. Unfortunately the flight took off at 6am. We pre-empted the problem which involved a two hour round trip to the airport the day before costing us a further £160 for last minute swabs with Randox so we could fly. TUi were handing out boxes and boxes of return to U.K. swabs at the airport so obviously hundreds in the same boat.
Our day 2 swabs arrived with two hours to spare on day 2. Not waiting at home for us on return as stated.
No answer to emails, no customer service, automated messages every time. Check Twitter. This company is horrendous.
Have filled in a form for refund for unused swabs delivered too late, no reply to that either!
Do not rely on them being delivered on time.
Avoid!!!

We booked their green package and our tests to take on holiday came as stated. We haven’t returned yet so I can’t comment on their PCR tests.

Randox at airport. Drive through test at 11am. Results back at 2pm. Just 95 quid too.

BunsyGirl · 28/08/2021 14:56

Randox 12 hour service at the airport. Back in less than three. £70 per person.

If anyone is close to Birmingham express testing drive through at the airport was brilliant service £59 and results were back in just over 12 hours.

roadwarrior · 28/08/2021 15:53

Randox and Collins are both very good and reliable.

mackers1 · 29/08/2021 08:04

We did a day 2 holiday test with them previously- and results were with us within 48 hours of posting, so we were reassured by that.

However, with this one, where they knew when we were flying, results- took 3.5 days from posting. I'd say post the test 4 days before you fly. the results will be dated when they carry out the test anyway, not the date you register it.

Next time, will definitely do a in person test at the airport- this was just more convenient time wise as it was only required for my 6 year old to travel.
