decent skiing hotels

Has anyone come across any decent hotels (preferably in Val d'Isere or Chamonix and at least 3*) which do a decently priced package (i.e. including half board and ski pass)?

Both these resorts have loads of 3* plus accommodation. Ive not been to either for ages but a good starting place is skisolutions.com, they have an accommodation guide type thing which you can taylor to your requirements. Once you have found a hotel you can either book thro skisolutions or go direct by finding their website, a fair bit cheaper at peak times.

Try contacting the tourist office in each. They often have deals including pass etc if you book a package direct with a hotel and especially if you are avoiding peak season.
