Day 2 PCR

Hi all,

Apologies this may have already been asked but this testing thing is so confusing.

We’re booked to go to Ibiza and I was waiting until the travel review to order tests but then realised the bank holiday would mess up deliveries.

We ordered day 2 tests with Randox but they aren’t due to arrive until the day we fly. It’s no big deal because we don’t need them until we’re home but I know you have to have proof you’ve booked them.

According to Randox we’ll get a Unique Reference Number on the kit. Is this what you need for Jet2 at the airport or is email proof of booking the tests enough? What do Jet2 require when we’re checking in to come home?

If we need the URN we can ask a family member to come round our house and send us the test details but I didn’t know if that’s needed?

TIA
Lucy

Ok sorry, I’ve just seen it’s our Passenger Locator Form we need to put our reference number. So is that the one we’ve received in our email from Randox or the one that comes with the test?

It'll be the confirmation in the email. Our day 2 tests weren't actually dispatched until the day before we were due to fly home and were sitting on the doorstep waiting for us when we arrived home!

Thank you, that’s perfect. Wondering if you could help with another question, did you book yours as one booking? As in I’ve ordered one for myself and one for my husband but they didn’t ask any details of my husband, does this matter as long as he has a reference number he can use?

Thanks.

I'm afraid that I didn't use Randox for our tests. I booked three tests at the same time and I got a separate confirmation for each person, however each confirmation had the same reference number. There wasn't any problem in using the same reference number in our passenger locator forms. All they ask for is the number - not for any other details about the tests.

The randox booking confirmation email provided four separate references for the four tests I booked. Put those on the plf before we flew back from malta.

Right I’ve managed to do my Randox test wrong. Bit of testing fatigue but I’ve put the specimen in the wrong tube and sealed it all up. So two down wrong will do the remaining two right. Any ideas what happens now?! Yikes.

I’m so over this whole thing. Do they even check the day 2 tests? Should I book an NHS one for the 2 I’ve messed up?

Sorry. Thought this was on the other day 2 PCR test thread but If anyone knows...

We got the randox results yesterday but doubt the government has a clue that we have, so don’t worry.

Thanks all. Was having a slight meltdown!
