Anywhere in the airports ? Either at check in/boarding or destination airport ? Or do you just have to show the QR code ?

Hmm Are you asking how rigorously they check whether you’ve had a positive covid test?!
whatagloriousthingtobe · 23/08/2021 21:08

@Etinox no!! I'm fully vaccinated. I'm asking if they scan the Spanish passenger locator forms, I'm struggling to make an amendment on mine and concerned it's going to prevent me from boarding

Sorry! So passenger locator form, not positive lateral flow Blush
We flew to Spain a few weeks ago- it’s all a blur but dh says they were spot checking. What’s the mistake? Can you do a new one?

Do a new one. You can just redo it and resubmit if you've made a mistake

whatagloriousthingtobe · 23/08/2021 21:24

The airline have changed the flight number last minute, when I log on to make any changes it doesn't even show my original flight number just the seat number, and that isn't able to be clicked on anymore !
From reading online it seems you can't just easily make a new one as you've already entered your passport number 😫

When are you flying? Are you on the Facebook covid advice group?

Plf QR code's - are they scanned ?
QuentinBunbury · 23/08/2021 21:34

I just came back from Spain, no one scanned the locator form, they just wanted to see you'd completed one.
I wouldn't worry, if for some random reason they do scan just explain at that point what happened.
Or get in touch with them now to correct the mistake

whatagloriousthingtobe · 23/08/2021 21:34

@Etinox traveling Wednesday. No not on fb. I've just got the laptop out going to go for it and try create a new family form- wish me luck !

Sister went yesterday, all questions asked but didn't have to provide ANY PROOF. She was just waved on through. All complete bollox!

whatagloriousthingtobe · 23/08/2021 22:00

Honestly I've not been this stressed for a long long time it's a nightmare !

I managed to do a completely new form for the family and received new QR code's with the new flight number on. Only thing is they have the old seat numbers on as we don't get our new boarding passes until check in at airport now so of course have no idea what they'll be til a couple of hours before the flight

You can't edit it, just start again. Honestly, it's fine. You can even redo it after you've submitted it.
Clymene · 23/08/2021 22:09

Sorry cross posted. Can you have it open on your phone and submit once you have your seat number?

It's a very annoying thing. Try not to get too stressed though - no one checks it at the other end.

Clymene · 23/08/2021 22:11

And in answer to your original question, no one scanned ours! They just checked that the departure details were correct and checked our Covid certificates.

whatagloriousthingtobe · 23/08/2021 22:12

@Clymene no I tried to edit the original one earlier on, wouldn't let me change the seat number it was totally greyed out so I couldn't click on it, it also didn't show my eoginslcdlight number anywhere ! Honestly, bloody nightmare
I'm just Gona explain I had to make a new one with new flight number and i thought my seat numbers would be the same !

On arrival in Lanzarote, all PLfs were scanned and checked.

Jenjenn · 23/08/2021 22:19

We arrived in Spain on Saturday. The forms were checked at boarding by airline staff and scanned at entry to Spain (set up just after passport control in the airport we flew into).

Are you coming back to the U.K. or is this going out? No, you can't edit it but they don't care if you do a new one. I had to do a new one and it wasn't a problem. My QR code wasn't scanned at departure or on return to the U.K.

mumofthree22 · 23/08/2021 22:21

@whatagloriousthingtobe don't worry about seat numbers - it's not essential to provide - told by TUI and I just wrote n/a and no one cared. The form is only randomly checked and it's only the names and destination /arrival and date they are interested in and proof of vaccine/ Covid test

Clymene · 23/08/2021 22:24

Oh sorry - just read you're talking about Spanish locator forms! Ignore me

whatagloriousthingtobe · 24/08/2021 07:04

Thanks for the replies. Worrying myself about the seat numbers but there's nothing more I can do myself so don't think there's any point even calling the airline now, I've managed to make a new form and that was the main thing

I've arrived in Malta and they certainly checked it at the other end.
whatagloriousthingtobe · 26/08/2021 06:10

Well we made it to Spain. The codes were barely glanced at in the uk, they just wanted to know we'd done one. Spain was a different story, was checked a fair few times. Then scanned. And then ticked off a list/computer and taken off you (printed ours off) I was worrying for no reason about the seat numbers it wasn't an issue at all! Didn't have to show proof of vaccination in Spain but the info for that is all on the passenger locator forms anyway.

OP posts:
Clymene · 26/08/2021 12:36

Which is why I apologised in a subsequent post and said I was talking about U.K. PLFs @ilovesooty

Glad you've made it OP. Have a great holiday!
