Thinking for half term. Has anyone been in October? I’ve heard the East is warmer and less windy…

Thanks!

I stayed in Gouves in early October, a few years ago (towards eastern end of north coast, near Malia). It was still about 25+ degrees and warm enough to swim in the pool but it was stormy on our first day. Places like water parks tend to close at the end of September/early October so that's something to bear in mind.

Thanks @Loughrigg77 just trying to decide the best place. Rhodes looks good too. I think the Canaries might be more predictable but we just don’t fancy them after a bad experience in Lanzarote a few years ago!

A few years ago we stayed on the NE coast in October, very warm & pleasant. We went to Chania one day; might just be co-incidence, but it was extremely windy there.

Yes I love the look of Chania but it does sound windy
