Argh! Have I understood this testing correctly?!

H and I are both vaccinated, but will be travelling with our 6 year old who will need a negative PCR test to enter Malta. The requirement states that a result within 72 hours of arrival to Malta must be provided.

I have booked her a (very expensive!!)’PCR test with same day results at 11am U.K. time on Sunday, we arrive at 11am U.K. time on Tuesday. Will this result be ok? They say “within” so it’s not “no less than 72 hours” is it… it’s “no more than” 72 hours? So 48 hours is ok?

Really appreciate this as my anxiety is off the scale with all this testing stuff!

That’ll be fine Smile

What you’ve booked is fine. But don’t you also need to pre-book a day 2 covid test for your return to the UK?

Yep all done with the day 2 testing and the pre arrival testing booking but it’s the pret departur pcr im stressing over as you have to time it with your arrival time!
Thank you! So a sunday test is ok for a Tuesday departure Grin
