Travel to USA, has anyone been this year?

We have annual leave booked, and would love to travel to America for DH to see his mum and sister, neither of whom we have seen in the last 18 months. They can’t come here. Has anyone managed to get there this year, and if so, how?

My bil has booked for later in the year but there's a ban currently, isn't there?

I think that your DH could go as he is visiting immediate family. You might not be able to. Check the US Embassy’s website

Ah, sorry. I have not looked into that side of it. As PP said, prob US embassy website is most informative. Don’t know when they (US) will open up. They do recognise some vaccines, but not others - in case you are not already vaccinated. That might inform your decision as to which one to get.
