Rhodes in October Half Term

Has anyone been to Rhodes in the last week of October? I'm wondering if the weather will be reliable? I'm after pleasantly warm rather than hot hot hot, as I've got 2 blonde and pale kids. Also does everything shut down a bit out of season, I'm wondering if all facilities will be open. I was specifically looking at the Eden Roc hotel in Kallithea but if anyone has other ideas??

I have been a couple of times in October. It is quiet and some restaurants and shops may be closed. Our local one stayed open just for us but that’s the loveliness of the Greeks.

Weather was warm but not too hot, and we usually had a couple of cooler days so take a light coat. It can also get very windy.

There are castles and mountain villages to explore if the weather is not so good, and DD loved the 4D film theatre in Rhodes Town.

Roads are quiet and hire cars are reasonable so exploring the island is easy.
