Coming to UK from MALTA?

My son and girlfriend will be visiting UK from malta for one week at the end of august and are having trouble working out how many covid tests they need to do - does anyone know? The only advice i can see is for uk citizens travelling to malta and back which nay be different for them coming the other way?

The problem seems to be going back to malta - all we can find is information relating to a 14 day stay in a red country (which is what the UK is) but they are only staying here for 9 days.

Are they 14 days post full vaccination?

For Malta you will need to speak to the Maltese government or check in their website.

Where will they be flight to? England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland or North Ireland?

Thanks they think they have worked it out now - the maltese government websites are not very clear and they received a message in very bad english which didnt explain it very well! They had both vaccines a while back so should be ok for going back with their certificates but might get a PCR test before leaving just to be on the safe side.

They are flying malta/stansted/malta.

They will need at least a LFT before they can board a flight to the U.K. and they will need to complain the passenger location form before flying too.

Yes they know to test before coming here it was just unclear about what they had to do going back to malta where they live.

Thanks everyone.
