We’re off to Gloucester for a week on Monday, 9yo in tow… any suggestions on what budget/good value for money activities we would find fun/interesting to fill our week? Thank you in advance! 🙏

There's a museum. And the cathedral. And a museum of packaging.

We like it here:

Good for skiing if you happen to like that and also tubing and laser tag.

Ninja warrior is good too ninjawarrioruk.co.uk/gloucester/. Crickley Hill is nice for a walk and has a cafe and has decent views. Primrose Vale farm shop in Shurdington has fruit picking, a small play area (which may be a bit young for 9 year old) but serves nice ice-cream. Wholly gelato is probably the best local ice-cream though www.whollygelato.co.uk

Gloucester Docks is nice now. If you have a car you could head out to the Forest of Dean in half an hour. Plenty of family friendly activities there and beautiful walks/ cycling routes.

My DC loved the Canal Trust museum at Gloucester Docks
