Ideas for next year for quiet Spain/Portugal location

Hi
I'd like to go to a quiet picturesque small resort in Spain or Portugal next summer. We have flights I need to transfer but am struggling to find a location I like.
Would like a small village sized place no high rise hotels, with a nice beach. Any ideas?

Martinhal in Portugal

Tavira or Olhao in Portugal. East of Faro is beautiful and much quieter than if you go west. Not strictly resorts but towns surrounded by lovely beaches.

La Vila Joiosa in Spain is lovely. If you aren't too bothered about hot weather, Zarautz in the (Spanish) Basque country is beautiful too.

We went to a place called Begur high was nice. We flew to Girona which was a quiet airport, and spent a couple of nights in Girona. We then hired a car and drove to Begur. There were lots of villages / places to visit nearby.
We stayed in this villa which was in a great central position but quite quirky.
