Travel to France and documentation required

I'm travelling to France on Saturday with my DD. I just want to check that I have everything I need. So I have my NHS Covid vaccination pass, I have the certificate of travel to metropolitan France. I have the sworn undertaking to comply with rules for entry for both me and my daughter. I will also hopefully have dd's fit to fly certificate all being well. My question is, have I forgotten anything? I am so confused with the government website and Ryanair website. Anyone here travelled to France recently who can advise? Thanks.

That sounds right.

There is a very helpful FB group called Travel between UK and France which has a lot of helpful links and "real time" experience. Just scroll through the recent posts for the most up to date info.

One thing I have noticed on there is that some people are having trouble loading their vaccine status onto the French TousCovid app and this has caused some issues with entry to attractions etc. If possible, I would recommend that you print out your vaccine confirmation and keep it with you.

You will need a negative test to get back into the UK. These can be booked at pharmacies using doctolib.fr but depending on where you are they can be busy (and they aren't open on a Sunday) It might be worth trying to book a slot sooner rather than later.

As it stands, you will also need to pay for day 2 and 8 tests and quarantine when you get back to the UK, but an announcement about this is expected in a couple of days and that may change.

@myotherusernameistaken, thank you so much for your reply. Very helpful! I a meeting my husband and other 2 dc in France but was worried I had forgotten something. Thanks for the info re booking tests for departure. I need to look into this. Can it be done in a pharmacie? Also praying France returns to Amber as I haven't booked the day 2 and day 8 tests yet! 🤞

You also need to fill in a passenger locator form at Gov.uk within 48 hours of returning

@CeeceeBloomingdale, great. Thank you! ☺️

There’s a handy flow diagram here for travel UK ->France last updated 22 July..

uk.ambafrance.org/COVID-19-rules-for-travel-to-France-and-the-UK

FWIW the certificate of travel …. is no longer a universal requirement.

@notimagain, thank you so much. That flow diagram is so straight forward Smile

Hi, I'll be travelling with my 9 year old to France later this month - can anyone confirm if my sworn statement also covers her? Thanks :)
