Spain - unvaccinated?

So we want to travel to Spain later this year for a family event. I will be fully vaxxed by then. DH is not having it (not on here to get into that, his choice, he has had Covid but not within last 6 months and tested negative for antibodies recently).

Anyway can we go without him being vaxxed? Has anyone done this recently? Is it just testing before travel that is needed? Would I need to do that as well anyway even though I am double vaxxed?

I know this won't help much, but 'later this year' anything could happen. Italy and France are bringing in restrictions on what unvaxxed people can't do, but that may disappear later this year as things improve, or it might get worse. Sorry, it is really frustrating.

As things stand, you are at the mercy of a neg PCR tests which your DH should be able get if he has had Covid and recovered.

You need proof of double vaccine or a neg PCR test taken 72 hours prior to travel. They are not currently accepting recovery certificates (so any covid lingering in your body post infection that triggers a positive PCR will count as infection).

This could all change of course....

Thank you @SlightlyJaded. We are going to leave booking until September (going in October) but hopefully it will either stay as it is or be easier...also need to decide whether to take the DC's with us as well! If we do I am going for 2 weeks to make it worthwhile.

I would definitely leave any booking as late as possible.

That's the situation as of now, but things can change in a day, as we've seen so often.

I live here. You should be fine with a neg PCR, we are welcoming everyone again it seems to me.

It could all change though as cases are rising.
