We went a few years ago and stayed in Eagle Beach at a hotel called Manchebo Beach. We went in November and the weather was fab.

It does look lovely in the brochures and on line.

We went about 5 years ago and stayed on Palm beach. It’s a beautiful island and feels very developed and westernised compared to Jamaica, St Lucia. It’s safe. It’s also very windy! I remember some days when we stayed around the pool rather than get sand blown on our eyes! Honestly, it was lovely but I probably wouldn’t return. Food was pricey and it’s very Americanised.

We went in June 2012 and stayed at the Tamarijn. It was absolutely brilliant! Best holiday we’ve had, we’ve been chasing the happiness on every holiday since.

Our hotel had a sister hotel we could visit as well. Snorkelling on the beach outside the hotel was great, I’d really recommend going to the natural pool as well, it was amazing. I’d love to go back, but have two littles now who are just too young for the journey.

@the80sweregreat it really was a lovely hotel! I hope to return one day. I remember doing a dance class over looking the beach thinking this is the life. And being out on a catamaran sitting on the nets drinking rum cocktails! As pp said, it's very Americanised but personally I didn't mind that. You could combine it with Curacao which is a bit more Dutch. We stayed in a fab ace called Scuba Lodge. Most incredible infinity pool overlooking the sea!

Went yrs ago & really enjoyed it. Preferred the palm beach (?) area as more there but that may have changed

I thought it was a mix of American & European Caribbean but this was over a decade ago.
