Lake district recommendations

Hi

We are 2 families looking to stay in the lake district May half term next year. 4 adults 4 kids. We would prefer separate but close accomodation, can anyone recommend a site with a mixture of options e.g lower cost pods/ camping as well as more £ lodges? Or 2 cottages next to each other/ with a through door.

Kids will be 3, 6 and 7. A play area would be fab but other than that no facilities needed. Would prefer a small site.
