I am going to visit my grandparents for a day or two in sheffield, travelling by train to get there - but when i get to the other end we will be picked up by car so will need a car seat - what do you do in this situation? Mt ds is one and in a forward facing car seat that is way too big to carry onto the train whilst managing a buggy too.
Any ideas anyone?
Or do taxi companies have car seats??

i would carry a car seat

and i have managed
MYSELF
a 14month old who didnt walk
a maclaren buggy
a group 1 car seat
a travel cot
2 big bags
1 change bag
And my hand bag

all by myself on the train and through London waterloo so i KNOW it can be done

you dont know for sure that any seat you borrow qill be safe

it wasnt easy and i wouldnt do it willingly again, but i DID do it,

basically make the straps of the car seat as long as possible and hang it on the back of the buggy, or loop it over your arns like a bag

i assume you will be being collected at the station... having 1 child and 1 buggy and car seat is manageable..... HONESTLY

Baby Eesh

Worth a phone, if they don't hire car seats perhap you could hire a buggy and carry the car seat.

Another idea is to see if you could buy a lightweight car seat suitable for her size, we had a light weight polystyrene one for PIL's car.
