Amber List pre departure test question

anotherflower · 23/07/2021 20:58

We are booked to travel to the Balearics in August. We have to take a pre-departure test 3 days before we leave Majorca. I've read the info on our package provider website (Jet 2) but I'm still confused. Jet 2 says this is a test we can take with us from the UK? But not a lateral flow test? So where do we get one from, and how do we provide evidence of the result (in paper form, text or email)?

If anyone's done this please could you let me know how it works? Thank you.

I think you would be best to book in person tests at a clinic near your Spanish accommodation. How would you get the results back in time otherwise?

I got it from qured. Cost me £39. Doesn’t jet2 have a page with the advised companies , some airlines provide a list with discounts

Im a lateral flow test which is done via videocall. They watch how you do the test to proof that you’re doing it ok and also that you’re not someone else. Then you submit the results (a pic of the test) and they send you the certificate

Makes notes.

Easter Island that's good to know. That will save me a bot of money of all this crapshoot is still happening next time I have to come to the UK.

Currently isolating for 10 days in Scotland because my Spanish jabs are not good enough for dear auld Escocia 😬

No, @EasterIssland Jet2 just say "there are lots of ways you can get a test". Not helpful. Will your suggestion work in Spain?
