Lisbon or Porto?

They look very similar looking at photos online. If you could choose to visit one which would you choose and why?

Just back from a trip to both. Lisbon is good if you’re going for longer and happy to go a bit out of the city for day trips e.g. Sintra, beaches. I prefer Porto for a long weekend (easier on the glutes too). Both very relaxed with Great food and views.

Thank you @Rachie20 planning on 3 nights. So Porto may be better choice

We did a trip to Porto in December 2019. Absolutely loved it. We flew to Porto had 4 days there, got on a train to Lisbon for 3 days there, train back to Porto, a night there, and flew back home next day. Best bloody trip in a long time.

if you were going for 3 or 4 days and wanted some sight seeing but also some relaxation (possibly beach?) would you still choose Porto (group of 40 sthgs)?

Porto has a great beach.

Lisbon. Loved it.

Porto. It was ok
