Southern Spain - looking for somewhere to stay next year

We're looking for somewhere in Andalucia or Valencia. Ideal would be villa/appartment. Pool sharing is fine but not one of those resorts with loads of families staying. I suppose I'm imagining something like 10 villas in lovely gardens with a pool, near a small town or village. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Spanish geography is terrible..... where does Nerja fit in ??

NKF · 25/11/2007 22:56

That's Andalucia. Do you know anywhere?

How old are your children and how fit are you ??

We use a fab villa, half way up a hill, then lots of steps/stairs but once inside the villa.............small bedrooms, huge living space.

Two balconies.

Small shared pool away from the villa, but nice to leave it behind at night. IYKWIM.

15 minutes from the beach.

It is my idea of heaven, not my villa so not my place to post a link.

CAT me and I will send you the link. He is an Irish guy, but don't have a foggy dew who he is.

Eight and five and we're fit. Steps not a problem. I don't know how to cat. Could you just post the name of the villa and I'll google it? The owner mind would he?

Andalucia is lovely. We stayed in Puerto Banus, a quite upmarket and very pretty area.

This is a biggish place but has lots to do, is right by the sea and well-placed for touring.

We stayed there for 2 weeks in May/June this year and loved it; the apartment itself is fab and well-equipped (has A/C included!), and although we were there at half-term the complex wasn't terribly busy or crowded.

Oooh, Huw, I like yours!

HuwEdwards · 28/11/2007 21:59

Thanks Wendy - it is lovely .

We're staying here for two weeks in August - £675 a week! It's not quite as far down as Adalucia or Valencia but there are plenty of others to choose from in those areas.
