Reselling accommodation in Cornwall

I've booked and paid for 4 nights accommodation in Cornwall for a family (2 adults, 2 kids, 1 baby) but we're now trying to change travel plans. Its's too late to cancel or change dates so I was wondering if we can try to re-sell the accommodation. Can anyone advise on the best way to do this? Are there any websites for this?

I'm fairly sure the company you're renting from won't allow this op - I really can't imagine that they would? It'll be written into their t&c's - have you checked?

When were you planning to travel ?

Pootles, I checked with them and they are fine with this.

People on our local fb page often post holiday accomodation that they want to sell/swap. I would think you've got a good chance with it bring the summer holidays.

Are you on Facebook- I'd try that first or ask here.

Can you ask the owner to refund you if they manage to fill the slot? I imagine it’ll be snapped up by someone else?

I work in holiday lettings in Cornwall OP. We're totally booked out until October - over 70 houses. Put it on some local FB sites and it'll get snapped up. We have a cancellation list as long as our arm with people eager to get here for the summer!

I would ask the owner to try to re sell it. I am an owner and would do this if asked.

I would definitely try to go through the owner - unless you know whoever buys it off you I would be terrified that someone would leave it a mess/damaged and you would be liable for the cost.
