UK winter holiday

Thinking of booking a long weekend around the Christmas holidays, anyone got any suggestions were is nice , don't want to particularly go somewhere isloated, maybe a nice little town and possibly a beach for wintry walks.
Thinking maybe Wales or Yorkshire not sure though, can you help!!!

Wales
Llandudno, Conwy?
Both are open all year round
You can go the the Little Orm to see the seals, or the top of the Great Orm to see the views and blow the cobwebs away.

Chester or Liverpool are easily to get to 1 hr to 1.30.
Liverpool is a Fab destination loads going on, several beaches within 30 mins

The Albertdock is good for a winter walk its cold even in the summer, you can walk along the river for several miles
