The best skin stuff to deter anything bitey!

Anything that if need be I can buy from Amazon for fast UK delivery as I keep forgetting to buy any.

I've used DEET impregnated bands that go on wrists & ankles.
Very effective (I was in Africa), non-smelly, available from Amazon - I think they're called something like Mozzie-off.
Make sure you get the DEET ones

I've used this for years.

I’ve used the Avon skin so soft stuff in the jungle - absolutely useless! I really wanted it & natural Mosi-guard stuff to work as I don’t like chemicals. Deet really is the only think that works. You can’t use it to a strength of more than 30% on kids. I usually use Ben’s Insect Repellant for Families which you can buy off Amazon.

The Avon didn't work for me.
Has to have high percentage of DEET in.

massistar · 14/07/2021 18:37

Avon doesn't work for me either. I use Jungle Formula spray from Boots.

Geamhradh · 14/07/2021 18:40

Both Boots and Superdrug do their own version of DEET sprays. Superdrug is a black and orange tin. Lots cheaper than Jungle. The Boots is in a green tin iirc.

Jungle formula - aerosol one from Amazon - high amount of DEET just either spray in outside or in a room you don't want to go in for a bit as it is strong!

I got something called smidge the midge on Amazon! Seems to work and smells ok!

I just got bitten to s*#t in Greece a couple of weeks ago.
Used Avon in Santorini last year and had absolutely nothing. This year I had a 2 inch yellow blister appear overnight after being bitten Confused I was using Boots level 3 repellent plus mosquito bracelets 😳
