My dear mum has offered to have our boys, so that my dh and I can have a short midweek break together on our own. Would love to go somewhere special in the South of England. We love coastal walks, so somewhere on the coast would be great. Suggestions please?

I was going to suggest a Warner hotel? I think there's some near Brighton? I love them and there are no kiddies Hope you get some other good ideas.

northcote manor in Devon is lovely. Been for dinner, would love to stay there, haven't got anyone to babysit yet!

Thanks for all your wonderful suggestions.

Spoilt for choice

Wallett's Court looks good, because its not too far away, just in case we have to come home in a hurry.

Does anyone know any really special hotels on the Dorset Coast as that stretch of the coastline is a favourite of ours.

bit further north than you're after, but if it's real luxury you want, you can't beat Le Manoir Aux Quat' Saisons near Oxford. It is total luxury, way, way posher than anywhere we've ever been but they made us feel completely realxed and welcome. We could only afford to stay one night, but we had the full gourmond meal, and just a wonderful time.

I love Dorset too, we always have a week at Durdle Door Caravan Park in May and have said we would like to stay here:
