Hotel / B&B in London anyone

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel or B&B in London. Looking for something central, dont want to pay a fortune but price isnt the main consideration as want to know it is somewhere nice, convenient, characteristic etc (for an Italian friend visiting)

Laterooms is good

Actually, you could do worse than a travelodge. Clean, basic (no shampoo even so she'd need to buy that) but can be v cheap booked in advance and the locations are good, esp Drury Lane.

thanks. the laterooms site is down at the mo, will have a look after. If it was for me I'd go for a travelodge everytime but it's for my husbands Italian stepdad who has an idea of everyone in the UK living in chocolate box cottages or Georgian townhouses!! So hegoping to disappointed whatever but I would love to hel him get as close to the dream as possible , budget isnt his primary consideration although he doesnt want to spend a fortune.
