We're going to the Norfolk coast/haven caravan park next week for one week.

Obviously no guarantees for the weather.
2 adults and 2 kids- 5 and 2.
Hit me with your beach/holiday essentials.

Apart from the typical beach stuff....

Talc - great for dusting sand off feet

Camping chairs, microfibres towels, wind break, kite,

Full waterproofs!
Thermal flask for hot drinks for parents
A ball or games set.

We have a Beach List - I accept that this is a lot more than most people take, & we don't take it all every time, but it's a good checklist for when we do go to make sure we don't forget anything important. We tend to spend the whole day at the beach & have young children so I'm of the mind that it's better to have stuff & not use/need it, rather than not have something we end up needing especially as some of the beaches we go to aren't part of a town so have few amenities/facilities.

What's a Tula? And what's the mallet for? Intrigued

I second talc for feet/other sandy bits.

Ooh interesting. Intrigued by the talc thing. So you just put over the sandy bits and brush it off?

Yup. It stops the sand hurting when you brush it off.

A massive rucksack with clips on the outside so you can carry it all on your back and not end up with a trillion annoying beach bags (plus kids) hanging off your arms.
