Where would you go as a couple this summer?

We have two weeks off in August. Quarantining on return is fine. Both double jabbed. Just my partner and I Grin

Looking for somewhere to relax. Self catering probably, and maybe rent a car to see some places. We’ll likely end up having to do a bit of work too.

We thought maybe Grenada? We like Greece & Italy, but thought maybe somewhere a little more ‘exotic’

Our budget isn’t massive unfortunately, so fancy hotels are off the cards! The kind of vibe we are going for is, just to live ‘normally’ for two weeks, but in a different location. Hope that makes sense!

Following with interest. Hoping to sneak away in late September all being well. We are both double jabbed and could quarantine if necessary. Have a big holiday booked for next summer but desperately would like to get away this year if possible. Needs to be be very reasonably priced to get Dh to agree! Spent a fortune on next year's holiday.

The price of flights are going up and up! Looked at some last night for £90 each way to Greece, and today they are £170 after the announcement :O

I'd book with an airline that allows free changes (Ryanair does, with a fee difference surcharge if applicable), and decide closer to the date. Get the cheapest flights and then see if you can still go as planned, otherwise move the booking to another date. You are allowed two free changes I believe.

I'd go to the south of France. Can drive along the coastline, take a trip into Monaco, even northern Italy. Rent a little pied a terre near the promenade.

We’ve been to Grenada. It’s lovely and very untouristy. Only a few hotels, no big resorts, VERY safe. Hire a car (they drive on the left) and explore the island, beautiful rainforest, waterfalls, nesting turtles.
We were there in July a few years ago, mainly to dive, relax, explore.
I’m not sure how many self catering villas are available but there’s probably some. BA flight is usually via St Lucia so it’s pretty long.

Easyjet is the best for flight changes with no additional fees.
If you're both double jabbed, how about Jersey? Means you don't need to pay for additional testing and less likely to be impacted by any covid measures.
