Just booked for summer 22 - are we over cautious?

We might have wanted a rare trip abroad, but the fact that most of this summers holidays will still be impacted we've decided that the prices will be sky high with 2 years worth of travellers trying to get away.

So we've decided to book early to get what we want in this country. Rash decision. Definitely. But I'm pleased as I know I definitely have something to look forward to (even before this years trip). Lol.

Are we crazy to be so organised? Should we have waited to see what will happen as it might not be so bad next year?

You're only crazy if you regret what you've booked and are now having buyer's remorse, but it sounds like you're happy, so what's the problem?

We've book for crete next May half term 🤞 fingers crossed it will go ahead 😀

Why is booking a holiday a rash decision? Have you committed to more money than you can afford or something?

NannyAndJohn · 07/06/2021 10:46

It's sensible.

Last summer everyone and their dog was happily predicting there'd be no limits on foreign travel come Summer 2021. Instead it looks as though there'll be more restrictions than there were in 2020.

We are going to New York next May. It’s something to look forward to.

I have Ryanair vouchers and I will be using them for September 2022. If there are COVID shenanigans over the winter of 21\22 I don’t want to get caught out in early summer (for the 3rd time.....)

@flowery rash for me as husband just said 'lets book' and we did. normally i like to spend hours choosing and looking at all the options in detail....

@extravirginoliveoil do you have any plans for while you are there?

@AnyFucker good luck.

@Flumo fingers crossed

Ok so rash because you booked it quickly rather than rash because it’s next year.

Enjoy looking forward to your holiday! 🙂
