Haven Craig Tara - a random question!!!

OK, this is a really niche question, but unsure where else to ask it... if anyone can point me in a better direction please do!!

So we are on a budget but thinking of booking haven craig tara. Of course when I've looked private hire caravans are cheaper than the haven ones. But play passes aren't included. When I've had a Google, looks like they're £30 an adult for the 4night breaks. There's 4 of us, and an under 4 so she would be free. It seems with private hire, we can't buy the passes in advance, we would have to wait until we got there and go to reception, and risk activities already been fully booked.

However, for a touring caravan pitch for the dates we are looking at, with passes included its only £66..... which would give us a booking ref and enable us to get the app and book activities in advance.

So my question is, if I booked the touring pitch, then turned up without a tourer and no intention of using the pitch, purely for the play passes, would that cause an issue? Has anyone ever done this? Random and a bit sneaky I know.....

Perfectly possible but you would be preventing someone else from having that touring pitch, which given the shortage of U.K. holiday accommodation this year might not sit well?

Also many people had huge issues getting refunds from private owners on holiday parks during Covid. They just said they had to claim it on their own holiday insurance. I would read the T&Cs of any private hire with a fine tooth comb as a result.

Just call and ask?
We went last year its a nice site you can see Arran across the sea, kids farm thing next door.
If you are going to Arran book the ferry now as its usually full.

We do this at our local haven, book a basic pitch just to use the facilities never have had a issue.

If you want to go to the Heads of Ayr farm park next door, you need to pre-book online and they sell out quickly.
