Amber countries covid tests AND isolation

Have I understood it right? If you are travelling to an amber country you have to test before you go (which is fine) isolate on your return AND take a further two tests? You have to both test and isolate

You can't isolate OR test on your return.

That's my understanding of it, yes. You can also take a third test 'Test to Release' if you want to end isolation at 5 days (still have to take the day 8 test).
