Ok I have a massive list I need some help, so if youve stayed in any of these apartments or resorts please tell me what you think:

MAJORCA
Vista Badia Apts - Sa Coma
Aparthotel Coma Gran - Sa Coma
Bahia Azul Apts - Cala Bona

IBIZA
Tropic Garden Apts - Santa Eulalia

MENORCA
Confortel Anabel Apts - Cala Galdana

ALGARVE
Club Alto da Colina - Balaia
Ouralantico Apts - Praia D'Oura
Clube Praia de Oura - Praia D-Oura
Colina Village Apts - Carvoeiro

Now I know that Praia d'oura is next to 'the strip' in Albuferia and just wanted to know how bad it really is (we dont do blackpool type holidays). We are going in high season

TIA

Sorry can't help on this. We have been to Majorca but we stayed in cala'dor not in any of the resorts you have listed.

Cala d'or was lovely as a resort, but a bit far away from some of the bigger tourist attraction (could be a plus or a minus depending on what you like).

Also in high season the beaches were really crowded as it is a series of small coves rather than a big beach so I wouldn't go again in high season though I'd love to go back at a quieter time.

We dont really do the beach. We tend to stay poolside.
Dont like rowdy resorts, just a nice marina or somewhere to have a walk, a few shops and great restaurants to choose from and we're happy!!

Well cala d'or has a lovely marina and lots of restuarants, shops. It has a lovely family atmosphere at night. I'd highly recommend it. We stayed at Revells d'or but I wouldn't recommend that as it was quite noisy. There did seem to be loads of other places to stay. Have you had a look at this website? Has loads of reviews of resorts and places to stay

Yeah I have looked at that, thanks. These are the ones Ive shortlisted out of the ones I'd marked in the brochures.

Will have a look at CalaDor sounds like our kind of place thanks

We have been to sa coma, not that impressed with it as a resort, cant remember which apartments we stayed in now, it was a thompson hotel. There is no marina, there are boat trips from there up and down the coast, wouldnt go back tbh. If i was to go to majorca again would go to puerta pollensa, friends go there a lot and recomend it.

Also been to carvieiro in algarve. Its a really nice town, dont know the apartments you mention, but is is now quite built up and busy.

I much prefer Cala dor to Sa coma Mossy- its a much nicer resort with better facilities. I lived in Majorca for three years and Cala dor remains my fave resort.

tiredemma · 14/11/2007 19:30

look at www.inturotel.com

they have many 3 and 4* properties in calador- perfect for families. (We stay at the Sa Marina)

I've stayed in Clube Praia d'Oura - really nice accomadation but we were bothered by timeshare touts coming to our apartment balcony whilst we were sunbathing! It's 8 years since I was there but Praia d'oura was quite a small quiet resort, it's actually quite a bit away from Albuferia
