We are planning on having a cheap and cheerful holiday next year as I am hoping that we are going to have a new kitchen fitted!!!

DD13 who will be 14 when we go away has asked if her very bestest friend can come (they have literally grown up together and know each other very well!)

Has anyone ever had any experiences of taking a child's friend with them? Are we asking for trouble?

We are staying in this country! So will be driving, we also have 2 other DDs to think about (they are younger)

Cornish holiday camp?

Can you not go abroad? We go to the French campsites every year ad they cater for every age group in much nicer surroundings than any Britsh camp site we've been to. Better wine, cheese, bread, weather etc etc etc

We normally go abroad esp to France and yes we have been camping there too, but the last 2 yrs that we went the weather was abysmal and we got soaked!!!!

So we thought this year of going to Wales! Only went there as a small child so thought this should be fun. Then DD thought it would be a good idea to ask if her friend could come!

Then a simple holiday suddenly started to sound complicated!
