Greece on green list?

Does anyone think Greece will be on the green list?

I honestly wouldn’t try and hazard a guess at this point. Will totally depend on vaccination levels in the U.K. and Greece, infection rates both here and in the country abroad and any new variants that appear. None of this is known right now.

I personally think there will be only minimal travel allowed this summer.

I am so desperate to get away after a shocker of a 2020 BUT I would so much prefer it if the U.K. could get back to some sort of normality as a priority and I would forgo that trip abroad for one more year if that could happen.

I have a trip to Asia booked for July that was a holiday shifted from last summer. I doubt that will be happening 😂😂😂

I agree - I'd LOVE to know which countries are going to be on that famous 'green list' too, but there is no way to tell right now.

The good news is that it's still three months until July, which is plenty of time for European countries to get their shit together, vaccinate their populations and make themselves viable options for summer holidays this year.

We have a holiday to Greece (Kos) booked in 2019 and moved last year. It's the last 2 weeks of August so I too am wondering about this.

It's just a wait and see situation.

Just read this on Tripadvisor

I saw it was possibly an amber country this morning. But who knows

Zodlebud · 06/04/2021 16:03

Countries can change colour too so what might be green one minute can be Amber the next.

I think this is the worry.

I'm sure I've read somewhere that if a country changes status and people need to come home they're going to give people a weeks warning instead of 24 hours!

Doesn’t Bojo’s Dad have a holiday home in Greece? For that reason alive it’ll probably be in the green list!

Oblomov21 · 06/04/2021 17:21

I want to go for a long weekend city break in October. I'm so hoping that nearly everywhere will be ok then.

Oblomov21 · 06/04/2021 20:48

Where's the list please? Presumably it will change all the time?

BG2015 · 07/04/2021 05:56

I don't think there is an actual official chart yet. Paul Charles is showing one from last year on Twitter! Greece is green in that one!

zafferana · 07/04/2021 13:36

There isn't a list yet @Oblomov21 and the government's stance is still that it's too soon to book an overseas summer holiday.

The Global Travel Task Force report is due on Monday, so I assume we'll learn at least something then. As to the details - don't hold your breath just yet.
