Easyjet Package Holiday Issue

Hello

We booked an easyjet package holiday in January 2020, before covid was a thing.
Our holiday was booked for May half term and was obviously cancelled. Easyjet offered us a Refund Credit Note plus the £150 credit which they offered. At no point was a full refund offered, we would have lost all our money. But we don't want this anymore, and summer holidays abroad are still looking unlikely in 2021.

My question is, does anyone have experience of receiving a full refund from easyjet after taking the refund credit note?

Thank you!

Sarah

EasyJet were deliberately not mentioning cash refunds last Spring and pushing credit notes. We refused credit and insisted on a cash refund which we got.

Looking at the Credit terms, it states there is no cash alternative. I would imagine they would argue that they had fulfilled their legal obligations with the credit note which you have accepted.

These credit notes appear to expire 12 months after issue. On that basis, as you don’t want to use it in 2021, I’d use it to make a booking now for summer 2022. The flights for summer 2022 are online.

Best wishes and my sympathy!
