Looking for large house to meet up with my family from Durham for my mums 80th b/day next Feb? Does anyone know which web sites you can put in your request and hundreds of owners mail you back?

Golly that was quick! Thank you Countess, think our paths have crossed before! That is exactly the sort of place we are looking for, perhaps too expensive, looking for something around £400-£500 max if poss. A village location would be better for Mum, she like to toddle to tea shops etc, thanks.

Have you tried the YHA. they do exclusive hire of Youth hostels during the winter.
