Hi

Does anyone know about baby facilities at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)? I've had a look on the website and didn't find anything.

Also does anyone know if there are porters available in Houston Intercontinental and/or San Antopnio? I am travelling by myself with DS (11 weeks) and really worried that I won't be able to manage suitcases and buggy and baby.

Anyone?

Thanks!!

I am familiar with Bush Intercontinental airport. It is a fairly new airport and HUGE with lots of facilites. I travelled by myself with a 9 month old and did fine. There are lots of porters (take cash 'cause they will expect tips), you will get preboarding and they will let you take your pushchair to the gate and pick up at the gate on arrival. I have never been to San Antionio Airport but again the US is very "convenience' oriented so you should have no trouble there aswell.

are you going on holiday? I lived in Houston for 17 years and have a SIL in SA.

oh something I just thought of. Call the airline and check what the rules are currently on taling liquids on board ! you may not be able to take bottles, formular, gels, lotion, medicine etc.

Also a good tip - when taking of and landing feed baby, swallowing helps to releif air pressure in the ears.

Thanks BritTex - very helpful I'm going to see my family for Thanksgiving and also check out the possibility of a secondment or transfer to the San Antonio office of the company I work for in London.

DP is staying in London to work and family in SA will be also be working during the day so I will mostly be on my own. Hence why I hoping to find some Mom & baby groups to drop-in on.
